Random Lyric:
The next time he hurt your back babe
Everything will be okay
Sean Garrett has written hits for a lot of artists and this is his second attempt to get one for himself. He's mining familiar territory. Like his first song "Grippin'" he's back to letting you know that he can love you better than your man. When these songs come up, I wonder why artists can't find their own women? Why is it always, I can hit it better than the man that's currently hitting it? So many other artists brag about all the women they have. Aren't there enough to go around?
Unfortunately for Mr. Garrett, he's used his best material for other artists and saved all the overtly sexual ones for himself. It's not an equal trade because he got the bad side of the deal. Bringing in Akon does nothing but offer a payday for Mr. Fake-Convict. And apparently the record company is letting him record to serve as a solid to one of their songwriters. It doesn't sound like they have a lot of faith in his fake-tenor, utilizing a T-Pain style vocorder on the highest notes. I'm sure someone will say it was an artistic choice and I will wink and nod and know better.
And Plies's 16 bars were so forgettable that I will have to go back and listen to the song one more time so I can see if I can find them.
