Ludacris co-starring Plies - Nasty Girl

Random lyric:
I met this girl named Keisha
She was so sweet
Nails stay manicured
Pretty little feet

When this one came across the desk, the mind started to reel. Did they really put the most articulate rapper of today with the guy that slurs the English language worse than anyone else? That's what we have with "Nasty Girl." Luda and Plies, not as a featured artist, but a co-starring artist.

Co-star? Is that the new word that we'll be seeing on these songs? The word "featuring" ends up not being good enough anymore? We'll just have to see on that. On to the subject of the song itself, Chris Lova Lova brings the thunder, as normal, but it's not as playful as his biggest hits. That's not necessarily a bad thing because artists that keep doing the same thing over and over again end up in the cutout bin. Luckily, Ludacris is of such a stature that he can change things up and take a few more chances.

As far as Plies, he's flowing in his outside voice, which is a good thing because you can hear his lyrics better when he raps like that. When he slows down on a mellow beat, that's when his slurring is at its worst. He gets his 16 in and he does an adequate job. For Plies, that's an improvement.

Overall, this is something we can work with. Not great, but better than most hip hop out there right now.
