Random Lyric:
But whatever it might be (whatever it might be)
Just keep holding on me
The-Dream is letting his disco roots show. The beat, while not as in your face as your favorite 70's and 80's disco joints, is incessant like those songs from back in the day. Those beats were put together like that to make it easy for DJ's to put them together in the early days of mixing. Now it's special effects as our most hated ballad singer has put together something uptempo. About time because his songs put me to sleep when I'm not actively reaching out to switch the radio when he's on.
The-Dream's vocals are slight in his annoying falsetto, but that's what the public knows he's going to bring. The song takes out when Kanye spits his bars. He changes his style in the middle of his verse and really shows off his versatility. Hearing Yeezy here makes you wish he had never discovered the Auto-Tune on the last 3 or 4 songs. Please, or please Kan, go back to rap.
We don't believe the words that we're about to type because we are confirmed Terius haters, but we like this one. The instrumentation is still 5th grade like everything else he's ever done, but this time it works.
